The IPv6 Subnet Calculator supports 128-bit addresses and CIDR prefix notation; users input an IPv6 address and prefix length (e.g., /64) to obtain network address, usable range, number of subnets, and more, helping network engineers plan IPv6 networks.
The Subnet Planner (VLSM) provides a drag-and-drop interface where users can automatically divide variable-length subnet mask (VLSM) networks based on the required number of hosts per subnet, optimizing IP address space utilization. This tool is particularly suitable for large network design and address planning, supporting two allocation strategies—preserve order or best fit—and visually displaying subnet division results.
The VLSM Calculator is a simplified version of the Subnet Planner. Input the main network address and the required host count for each subnet, and the tool automatically calculates network address, subnet mask, usable host range, and broadcast address for each subnet, checking whether the address space is sufficient. For environments requiring fine-grained IP address planning (e.g., enterprise branches, campus networks), this tool significantly improves efficiency.
The Supernet Calculator is used to combine multiple contiguous subnets into a larger network (route summarization), supporting CIDR aggregation. Users input multiple contiguous network segments, and the tool calculates the smallest supernet prefix that can cover these segments, helping reduce routing table entries and optimize network performance. It is very useful in BGP route summarization and network simplification.
